Theme Communities
The four communities that will be offered in Fall 2014 are:
Gaming Theme Community: Located in Hornet Village 200
The students who participate in this Theme Community will share common interests in game design, gaming etc. Student will have a chance to interact with Faculty and Staff on campus. Our goal is to support our gaming students on campus by providing them opportunities to socialize, while also offering them off-campus trips to get them out of their room! Examples of what our Gaming theme community did this year: Attend SEIGE gaming conference, weekly gaming tournaments (Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Yugioh, Pokemon etc.), Dave and Busters game night. Residents work alongside a Gaming Faculty Mentor and their Resident Assistants to engage in community activities that help them to develop both individually and as a group.
Outdoor Adventure Theme Community: Located in Hornet Village 200
The students who participate in this Theme Community will want to participate in an active lifestyle. Residents work alongside Faculty/Staff Mentors and their Resident Assistants to engage in community activities that help them to develop both individually and as a group.
